This unique silver ring is so confortable and it is adjustable (a size 7 can be down-sized to 6 or up-sized to 8)!

I've spent all the summers of my childhood walking on the beach of Chaleur's Bay, when my Grand-ma use to have her cottage. Looking down for small treasures, I've found agates, jelly fishes, sea glass and all kinds of sea shells. My favorites were the snail shells, that we called "Berlicocos".

I'm still fascinated by those little marine objects, which drives me to that Sea Urchin inspired collection.

To create this selling piece, I made a mold of a sea urchin with alginate. I used the lost wax technique to create a piece of silver with the texture of an urchin. I cut the piece in smaller pieces, and soldered them with silver round wires. I forged the future ring on a metal mandrel and proceeded to polishing!

PLEASE NOTE that each ring is unique and different (as shown on the picture), since every sea urchin is different.

The ring is avalaible in sizes 5 to 12.

All jewelry is handmade in my Montreal-based studio. The materials I basically use are sterling silver and freshwater pearls.

Nature is an infinite source of inspiration for my work. You'll see it through the sinuous curves and textures in my jewellery.
