Make your appearance on Zoom in enviable green. This pure wool shawl is from Kashmir but its colour couldn't be more Irish – Kelly green - perfect for St Patrick's Day!
The fine Pashmina wool is delicately hand-embroidered with single thread silk. Small motifs selling in red, orange and black are scattered over the shawl while an unobtrusive border of 3 leaves are the perfect Indian representation of the shamrock! The wrong side is as neat as the right (photos 6 and 7). A deep fringe on either side of the length is as yet uncut.
Use as a shawl, scarf, stole, wrap or throw over your settee or bed. It dates from the 1980s but has never been used so its perfect condition makes it the ideal gift for an Emerald Anniversary (55th year).
