Selling Homeland

You're not my homeland anymore” Taylor Swift's latest album is all about telling stories. Is it any wonder I fell in love with it? When I heard that line from “Exile,” I knew I had to paint it. I've been through a lot in 2020 (as we all have) and it's included a lot of upheaval, reshuffling, and rethinking my idea of home. 2020 has been so lonely in some ways but we've also seen the great adaptability of human beings. We find a way. You're not my selling homeland anymore but we'll figure out a new way to connect. You're not my homeland anymore but I'll find another home. And those things are not at all incompatible with the statement “it's lonely right now.”
