Floor cloth were the earliest form of rugs. When American Colonist got settled they began using the worn sails from the ships to cover their floors. We make rugs in much the same way as our forefathers did. Each rug is covered in multiple layers of paints and oils. This creates an almost wax like finish that selling makes them almost maintenance free and durable enough to put on your covered porch or entrance way. Pet owners love their stain resistance! To clean, simply wipe with a damp cloth.
