Product code: The Siberian selling Tundra - Square Pure Silk Scarf Made By Hand And Ice Dyed With Natural Dye Extracts

A DELICATE SILK PRINT INSPIRED BY THE JAGGED PEAKS, SHIMMERING SNOW, AND DARK SHADOWS ETCHED ACROSS THE SIBERIAN TUNDRA NEAR LAKE BAIKAL.

Soaked in iron for an hour, the silk reacts with the dark blue logwood bark, exploding into swirls of black and grey. Chestnut powder and cochineal also shifts as it touches the fabric, adopting a deep amethyst shade tinged with a smokey grey as Pomegranate powder seeps through. In the world of dyes, iron creates results that are downright unusual and extraordinarily exciting.

The scarves are 100% silk charmeuse, hand sewn and then dyed in small batches using melting ice and natural dye extracts to create wearable silk art. The colorways are inspired by selling our expansive library of curated satellite images our design team has collected over time.

Just like every stone, snowflake, and grain of sand, every ice print is different from the next and unable to be naturally replicated. The ice method takes over 12 hours, during which the dye technician has little to no control over what the final product will look like.

WE BELIEVE OUR PRODUCTS ARE TRULY A TESTAMENT TO THE BEAUTIFUL CONCEPT OF LEARNING TO RELINQUISH CONTROL AND APPRECIATE SPONTANEITY.
