A limited number of sets are available made from a cherry board milled over 100 years ago. Once that board is used up that's it, there is no more.

Also available are a limited number of sets made from "stabilized" wood. This is wood that was salvaged from a wood pile that was deteriorated to the point that it cannot be used as it selling was found. The wood was so far gone that is it was literally crumbling. Fortunately, the mold and mildew that causes the wood to deteriorate also causes beautiful patterns of color and patterns that are quite spectacular. By a process called stabilization, the wood can be infused with a resin that binds the fibers and makes the wood rigid and workable. The resulting Pen/Pencil sets are beautiful and unique. You will not see anything like them at Office Depot or Staples. Due to the extra time needed to stabilize the wood, extra lead time may be required when ordering.
