This is a stunning copy of The Swiss Family Robinson in French, entitled: Le Robinson Suisse Ou Histoire D'Une Famille Suisse Naufragee.

Bound in red cloth with a stunning gilt/black pictorial design to the front cover and spine, and black/gilt/silver lettering. There is bumping to the corners, slight rubbing to the edges and wear to the head and tail of the spines. There is a crack to the front joint of approx 3 inches - the board remains securely bound but will need handling with care to avoid further damage. There is also a crack to the lower rear joint of approx 1 inch, though again the binding remains tight. Blue/grey endpapers in clean condition. Small ink inscription to the front free endpaper. Some minor foxing mainly to the prelims. All edges gilt. The pages are clean with some age toning, though nothing significant.

Overall selling this is a very striking book which is in good condition.
