A delightful antique children's book entitled, 'The Six Who were Left In A Shoe, by Padraic Colum, and published in 1923 by P.F. Volland Company. The charming illustrations were drawn by artist illustrator Dugald Stewart Walker, which include both 6 colorful full page drawings as well as many others throughout the book. The tale is about an old woman who lived in a shoe, who ventures off for world adventures after her children. who are grown and left home. She leaves behind her six animals to take care of themselves. They then decide to have an adventure of their own.

This selling edition is in overall good condition with wear to the spine with paper loss and bumped corners, and measures; 6 x 7 1/2".

A scarce children's book from the Volland publishing company.
