Musicians used be inspired by literature such as this man, Aldous Huxley, put together. Huxley wrote a novel called The Doors of Perception. Jim Morrison reportedly named his band after it. I'm as much a fan of Huxley as I am of The Doors; preferred Island to The Doors of Perception. Most impressive about Huxley is the tale of selling his wife administering him LSD on his deathbed. Hearing that meant as much, if not more, to me than reading his novels did. Astonishing artist.
