Hoot, selling the Owl Glass Mosaic

Mosaic , framed 16x14”, this whimsical owl is up cycled art made from broken China and metal pieces for the eyes in a style called picassiette (meaning uses broken china). Each piece is hand cut with nippers and placed in 3D art on a backer of hardiboard, set in tinted thinset. Brown and white owl is made of the rim of different plates. Owl is sitting in green plate rim (leaves) selling over a brown plate (tree limb). Paint is used to antique the handmade simple frame and highlight the textured thinset. Yellow sun pendent looks down on owl from upper right corner.
