Quistgaard - Beautiful CORDIAL Series. Danish design. Mid century modern. Scandinavian stoneware in excellent condition. This series called Cordial.
The name Cordial means 'heartily kind and friendly'.
This pattern with hearts was created by the famous danish architect Jens Harald Quistgaard (1919-2008) and produced in the 1970 on 3 Factories in Denmark, namely Kronjyden, Nissen and Bing & Groendahl, all 3 factories owned by Bing & Groendahl. That is the reason why som identical products, have different stamps on the backside, Namely Kronjyden, Nissen and Bing & Groendahl.

Due to production process there can be variations in the color of the glaze

Condition:
Very good vintage condition without damage, there are minimal traces of use.

Jens Harald Quistgaard ,(1919 –2008) was a famous danish designer, known for his work for the American company Dansk Designs, where he was chief designer for more than 30 years and became widely known for his tableware and kitchenware designs became synonymous with Scandinavian modern and found their way into millions of homes in the USA, Europe and Asia. With his international orientation and success he was groundbreaking, and he had great significance for the place which Danish design acquired all over the world. In 1958 he received the Neiman Marcus Award and during the following years he was represented at major museums in Europe and the USA.
He created many famous and very popular designs of dinnerware, for instance the series Azur, Umbra, Cordial, Relief, Columbia, Mexico, Tema and Rune. He died in 2008.
