This is a unique and important piece of jewelry....set in vermeil, the bright, cherry red stones have open back settings to give off depth and color...The center piece is an 'en tremblant' or trembling flower. That means that it is set on springs and moves in a beautiful, dimensional way. The center leaves are covered in sparkling clear rhinestones. It is unsigned but I'm absolutely certain this is by one of the coveted designers of that period. Considering it's age, the condition is outstanding with the exception of just some very light unevenness in the metal leaves...I believe this is an easy buff to bring up the shine...and it looks to be vermeil, or gold over silver to my eye. It is absolutely stunning....measures approx. 2" x 2.5".
