selling Lovely large 24% lead crystal petaled bowl in the Medea pattern by R. Koschnick for Lausitzer of the former East Germany. This Scandinavian style icy glass pattern has textured leaves and dew drops embossed on the underside, smooth gleaming crystal on the upper surface, scalloped rim and sunburst-shaped foot.
The Medea design was recognized at early 1980s at the historical Leipzig Trade Fairs, earning the Gold Medal in 1981. Leipzig was the second largest city in East Germany after Berlin and the Trade Fair was an important link to the Western states during the Cold War era.
Brilliant crystal bowl would be perfect for chilled salads, fruits or berries, veggies, or as a dessert dish.
