Vintage Goebel selling salt glaze pottery blue checkered jug

This striking pitcher was made by Merkelbach Salzglasur Handarbeit Stoneware of Goebel in the1970's. It is signed underneath.
The pitcher has a lovely cobalt blue diamond pattern over half the jug, with rings of the same colour round the neck and a v below the handle. The base is a creamy light grey.
The salt glaze gives the jug selling a pleasant texture.
The pitcher holds half a litre of liquid.
In excellent condition.
