Moonstone's radiant, translucent appearance is similar to that of the glow of the moon, hence the name Moonstone. Mineralogists refer to it as Adularia, as it was first discovered in the Adula Mountains in Switzerland. It is strongly connected to the moon and to intuition. Known as the "stone of new beginnings", it is revered around the world for its loving receptive feminine energy, and for its ability to calm emotions.
