Two (2) capital stock certificates from the Mount Morris Valve Company, Mount Morris, New York, from 1926. (1) certificate for 5 shares of preferred stock and (1) certificate for 2 shares of common stock. Both certificates ORIGINAL (not reproduction) and in excellent condition. These are from our family's estate. While they have NO $$ value (pre-stock market crash of 1929), they are very rare items for the collector of stock certificates, since they originate with a small company in upstate NY, and they are great pieces of memorabilia for the collector of items from western/central NYS in the 1920s., or even the village of Mount Morris (NY). While both certificates have folds on the paper, they are otherwise unblemished and very suitable for framing or other display, since they both have beautiful etchings of eagles and many other interesting details in the design and printing, and combine with hand-written specifics of share holders and corporate officers. A big deal in the business world back in the day!! selling
