This engraving is deep enough that it can be felt. The pattern wraps over the edges and gives a better feel and look to it. The black color is also a rather smooth marking and has a slight color shift in the light which gives it a unique look. The smoother black marking also will not attract dirt or lint like a rougher engraving will.
