17" Painted Brass Moroccan Bohemian Boho selling Tray

17” Middle Eastern Moroccan hand done daisy tray.
Beautiful dimensional engraved vintage server.
Heavy, large weighing 2 1/4 lbs.
Paprika coloring seems to be sprayed all over this particular piece and you can see the pencil marks indicating the artist's directive execution of the etched/punched/hammered design.

This piece has no brass exposed on the front. The artist never finished the ‘finishing process' and this doesn't look like the one that sold which was listed here for a short time (see second photo).

What you can do is find a gentle solvent that won't harm the brass, and wipe it on the surface with a soft rag to gradually remove the layer of spray paint and pencil marks (see photo 3).
However you treat this is up to you.

I'm sooo tempted to remove the paint myself(I didn't even test to see if it's acrylic or oil based), start with a clean brass platter, and respray the rims matte black or a brick red, maybe buff off the paint in the relief portions and the center, what do you think I should do after you see the photos??
I'm always thinking of ways to incorporate creativity in things I find however sometimes it's best to leave things alone. Don't know if this piece is one of them tho.

Also, the black fine details aren't really black. For some reason my camera darkened all the fine detail (see 3rd photo)and I can't seem to color correct this abnormality. I tried lightening the blackness, (see photo 5) but was unsuccessful.

As you can see there's one rim section where the paint chipped off and it's paprika color uniformity was ruined (see photo 6).
So until I decide if I will do something to it, this is being sold as found for you to do as you please with it.
