From goodreads: This antiquarian volume contains Marian Storm' s 1931 work, 'Prologue to Mexico: The Story of a Search for a Place'. This fantastic book is highly recommended for those with an interest in Mexican life, and constitutes a must-read for fans and collectors of Storm s work. Marian Storm (1892 - 1975) was an American journalist, author, poet, animal rights advocate, and conservationist. After moving to Mexico in the mid-1930s, she spent her time writing about Mexican plant life, animal life, and human poverty.
(This is actually about a 2007 reprint, as there are almost no original copies to be had. Well, there is one, right here ;-)
In great vintage condition, pages are clean and without marks or highlights. Front endpaper is a map. 20 illustrations 'in halftone': wonderful, evocative historical phots of the land, and the people. I wish I could show more!
The cover is selling in very good shape, and the slightly worn dustcover has a clear protective cover to prevent further wear. Such a special copy, and extremely gift-worthy!
(Gift-wrap option is available, even if Etsy is now hiding the icon...please look under FAQs.)
