This handmade Phoenix Rising pen was turned from a blue and purple acrylid blank and features antique brass hardware with an orange stone on the top. Parker style refill.
This handmade pen started as an acrylic blank. It is cut to size on a bandsaw, a hole is drilled in the center and a brass tube is glued in place. After the glue is set, I turn the pen on my lathe selling to the desired shape and size. Sanding with 12 different grades of sandpaper – getting finer and finer as I go along to gives it a smooth look and feel. Once it is sanded to the desired grit, it is buffed. After that is assembly!
